Dad was not able to come home today and they have called in a specialist. They are not happy with the progress (or lack there of) considering that he has been on IV antibiotics for 2 days. I know he and my mom are disappointed about not taking us to the airport or seeing the kids again before we leave and his spirits seemed low tonight. Please pray for his healing and for a sense of peace for both he and my mom.
Thanks to wonderful friends, we've been able to find folks to take us to the airport (no easy thing when you are a party of 7!), take care of Nathan and provide some support for my parents. Obviously this is not how we all wanted to leave for China and we're praying that he'll be raring to go by the time we get home. Last week we were questioning whether we should have taken the other kids considering Caleb's terror of strangers and new things. But now I can't imagine if we had left them at home and all of this had happened. Both my mom and I would have been a basket case (at least more than we are tonight!).
Keep the prayers coming - we are certainly in need of them right now!
Hopefully our next post will be from Beijing!

We are praying for your Dad. We're also praying for your trip and for Caleb as he meets his family! You are ALL in our prayers.
Can't wait to see pictures.

Melissa,
We'll keep up the prayers for your dad! (and for y'all) Don't worry about Caleb. I'm sure by you bringing your kids, possibly, you may ease his fears! That's what Rebecca did for Matthew.
Hey, the Lord's clearing the way! :o)
